Well it's not like they didn't have their chances.

Basically the reverse of the quarter and semi final games the US played.

They basically got out-played by Brazil and then again by France but capitalized on their chances and pulled out the win.

Now they out-play Japan, but didn't capitalize and Japan did.

Very enjoyable game though, and - with the exception of the horrible call on the offsides that would have had the Japan striker in all alone from the halfway line - a very well officiated game as well.
