So last night the GF and I went out to a brewpub with a friend. We got beers and wings, which were really good. The women-folk got huge salads and we all took stuff home for dinner tonight.

The boxes got switched. Our friend decided NOT to correct the problem, so she got my Thai Curry Wings and I'm left with her beet salad. I hate beets. The GF hates beets. I might have to get takeout or something.

I dont mind beets ( I have no idea what beet salad is and see no great need to find out), but a Thai Curry Wings exchange for beet salad is a losing one. Stay strong.

Oh btw @forty_three HP got it uninstalled and my HP is not bricked as of right now. Their tech person gave zero insight on what they did (shocker) but I am holding them to this.
As soon as it was working after McAfee was gone I created an image of my laptop so if i crashes again I will just recover to that backup vs reverting to the McAfee installed version.

Auditors.

Just spent an hour and 15 minutes on a phone call where 3 auditors argued over what "24 hours" meant.



They are just lawyers who couldn't figure out how to properly monetize their anal retentiveness.

I had built an application in our Security Monitoring tool that allowed me to investigate alerts for certain activities and behaviors in 3-4 clicks in a single dashboard.

Thanks to suggestions from our Auditors, that process is now streamlined down to 3 different tools and 3 tabs and I have to type a reason to close every alert, whereas before if it was not an issue, it was just closed. The act of closing it indicated it wasn't a problem. Now, I have to explain why it isn't a problem which takes longer than my entire original process took to determine it wasn't a problem.

We have a gas station down the street. Gas is cheap, but the tire pump has been broken for years. Last week I noticed the old air pump was gone and there were two new things in its place. But the air pump was gone. Now all that's there is EV chargers. Fuck that.
