I hate clicking on a news thread and having a damn video pop up. I KOW HOW TO READ. I don’t need some bimbo talking at me while a camera scans over a scene with police cars or celebrities. I suppose they're planning for a future where modern education has rendered everyone illitere.

The idiot who owned my house before me. Mr Short Attention Span DIYer.

Some of his highlights:
Put down a new floor throughout the foyer, bathroom, kitchen, dining room and laundry room on the first floor. To save time, he just put the new ceramic tile down on the old ones. Thus leaving a half inch height difference between that floor and the sub floor in the dining, living and family rooms as well as my office which are all adjacent to this floor. Bonus, he just ran the new tile up to the carpet, grouted the shit out of it and stuck it down so when I removed all the carpet in the aforementioned rooms, I had to chip away hardened grout and cut out long petrified carpet. Also, he tiled tight up to the feet of the dishwasher, which required a chisel to take away the tile in order to get the old, failed dishwasher out.

When he replaced the sink, he bolted the faucet to the sink and set it in the counter simply cutting holes in the counter for the water lines. Leaving me no access to the bolts that held the faucet on when I wanted to replace it, leaving me to have to removes the entire sink to do a simple job. It was when I removed the sink that I discovered that he ran the dishwasher drain straight into the sink drain and not through the disposal.

The utility sink in laundry room was on a nice platform made of 2x4s. And not attached to the wall in any way. I had initially though he had built some shelves under the sink. Nope.

So today, we are having our roof replaced and I actually had the though that at least Mr Attention Span will not rear his ugly head today. I was so naive.

Apparently the screened in porch was an addition. When it got built, they covered up two soffit vents and did nothing to increase airflow on the ceiling that would have normall vented out those holes. Therefore causing heat and moisture to get caught inside the ceiling which rotted the entire family room roof base. They had to replace 14 sheets of plywood there due to the rot as well as fix the problem. Add 2 grand. Also the valleys where the peaked roof of the porch meet the regular roof only had metal flashing halfway up, adding to the problem. Also, under that peak? The original roofing shingles.

Also, we have a skylight in the loft above our garage. Apparently there was an original one there that at some point got broken. So he ripped it out, frame and all and CAULKED a plastic bubble over the hole and replaced the roofing shingles up to it. Had to replace the skylight, ad 1400. How that half of the house was not under water I have no idea.

my son gets kneed in a game last night in the knee that he injured last season. No call.. Looks to be ok (possible charley horse, but swelling and tightness above the knee but walking ok) Precautionary sits out the 3rd period. Linesman sees he doesnt get a shift in the 3rd so talks to him at the bench.

Linesman: "not coming back tonight? knee ok?"
Son: "its fucked up. and no call?"
Linesman: "sorry, i talked to the ref after the whistle right after it happened and he said he didnt see it"

Except they didn't get it wrong. Called a no goal on the ice and there was no conclusive proof to overturn it.

It seems my sister in law has gotten a sponsor for her kids' "themed" clothing. A place that will make anything she wants, provided she hawks them in every post.

It was clearly over the line and the only person who didn't see it was the ref.

I hate it when my target moves from the crosshairs. Ammo is getting SSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOO expensive.

It's so bad that I've started reloading my own brass.

This commercial makes me irrationally angry and I want to kick that lady’s teeth down her throat every time I see it.

That commercial and this one.

If I ever hear someone scream hold my reflex will be to slap them in the face.
