Granted I grew up Catholic and just accepted the fact I was burning in hell. Back then when I still believed in that crap it scared me, now I wish for it.

also grew up catholic. my parents were so missed that after my confirmation, my choice "as an adult in the eyes of the church"
was to stop going to church. They couldn't argue it, as I played by the rules, but boy were they not happy.

I didn't mind my Catholic upbringing. Our church was the epitome of fast food service. Go in, partake in the rituals, get some exercise with all the sitting, standing, kneeling, get your free wafer, get out. The only required interaction with others was the shaking of hands around you during the "peace be with you" segment.

I've been to other Catholic and non-Catholic churches and they creeped me out, with everyone in your face and wanting to talk to you. *SHUDDER*

Now that's grooming.

Only two days? I bought a frozen turkey last Monday and it has been thawing in the fridge since then - Put it in the oven earlier today. If this is my last post, you know what happened.

Mine was just a 8 pound breast. I was told it would take 2 days to thaw in the refrigerator so I did the sink thaw this morning.

My friend was supposed to meet him yesterday to get my cash and he no-showed and he’s not answering messages. I don’t know the guy personally and I’m 99.9% positive my friend isn’t lying to me because he’s paid out on football pools etc. that he has run the same day. So I’m treating it as I got beat out of my $100 entry fee.


I hit a first round game for $50 and the final for $1500. I told my friend just get me $1300 and split the other $250 amongst the two of you as a tip for you getting me in the pool and him for running it.
