And I don't blame you since Ross Park has become a dump like most malls in the area.

Monroeville Mall is essentially a night of the living dead museum.
Beaver Valley Mall is equidistant to me as Ross Park is and I think the only things left in it are JC Penney’s and a Rural King lol

Wasn’t it Monroeville Mall they used for some zombie flick about 5 -7 years ago?

Yeah like @sbb122 stated it was the dawn of the dead filming. They also moved the Night of the living dead museum from Evans City to the Mall.

Other horror movie info, in Stephen King's Christine they mention Monroeville Mall.

Other than that is now a dump.

Dawn of the Dead was filmed there in ‘78 I think. They remade it a few years back in a mall in Minnesota I believe
Maybe that’s it. For some reason I thought they did the remake there as well.

Last time I was in Pittsburgh, I wanted to go to a grocery store and get snacks and soda and saw there was a Giant Eagle right near a mall. That mall was Ross Park

Neither stop was great.

That might be one of the worst Giant Eagles around. It is very old and dated.

The novel Christine took place in and around Pittsburgh and had references to Monroeville and other local places.

AFAIR, the movie took place in California.

I remember how much the book resonated with me, with references to places near to where I grew up, such as Fox Chapel.

Merritt Parkway in Connecticut.

I'd rather live under the Gardner without a hard hat than drive Merritt.

Seriously, how has our entire country failed so completely at building basic infrastructure.

It's my go to "horrific" highway reference. It's a deathtrap and with only 2 lanes all it takes is one person to kill the entire flow. God forbid there's an accident you're stuck.

The Merritt Parkway was my go-to road back in the late sixties, early seventies after college. It beat the crap out of the Connecticut Turnpike. It was the route without the big trucks.

My phone's autocorrect, It always changes "like" to "lime", "on" to "one" (and "one" to "on"). It just changed "it" to "at" when I just asked my missus about a box she is bringing home with her. As in "how big is at?"

It never corrects anything to something better.
