BC Ferries - I guess when you're a monopoly plus a Crown corporation, you don't need to worry about customer service. Not to mention I've spent over 40 grand on BC Ferries over the last almost six years. Oh well.

Just a mouthy BC Ferries employee directing traffic this morning - I was four cars from getting up to the ticket booth when she directed me to move to a new lane (booth was dark) as they were instructed (I guess) that somebody was going to man the booth. I waited for about five minutes or so as all these cars are being processed from the lane I was previously in and then I get told I need to back up and get in the lane I was previously in. I said, "How about not sending me into a lane until somebody is actually in the booth next time?"
She replied, "No need to get frustrated, you'll still going to get on the ferry"

Sorry, man. That sucks. If I had any spares, I'd send 'em to ya. I just traded a bunch of my spares for some vintage BMX parts a couple months ago. No wheelsets or tires left.

Keep an eye on Craigslist and any facebook bike swap groups. Plus go talk to any shops that sell used parts or take trades. If nothing else, they might be able to help you find some cheap replacements.

Update: Exceptions/accommodations are not made by the Tucson bus service for cyclists who have had their wheels stolen. Since the rack grips the wheels (and cannot be repurposed to grip anything else, I learned), I asked to bring the frame on the bus with me. I was denied.

So I carried it 2.5 miles on my shoulders. And I didn't spend enough to get one of those light frames.
