OT: My Fellow Metalheads

Coalesce is pretty bad ass... Pissed I never seen them live. I was actually listening to There Is Nothing New Under The Sun not too long ago.

Yeah, I never saw them either because of the Ohio State Troopers.

For me though, 0:12 Revolution In Just Listening is still one of the best albums ever recorded in the genre. That album was so far ahead of its time that it's scary.

I have a question.

What classifies Metal to all of you?

My favorites growing up were groups like the Scorpions, AC/DC from Back in Black until now, Van Halen, Def Leopard, Slaughter amongst others. As far as I'm concerned Guns N Roses was pretty much the last Rock & Roll band. I was never a KISS fan. Bon Jovi not so much.

That being said I tried listening to speed metal & just couldn't get into it. I think part of it is I couldn't understand what the heck they were saying. Kind of like Kurt Cobain of Nirvana.

Anyway, Rock ON people.

I'm gonna have to ask Nostradarkstone, but I think metal is made up of those different element thingies on those periodic chart doohickeys. (how the hell do you spell "doohickey" anyway?!)
