Was listening to this earlier today and it hit me - there's a lot of Buddy Holly influence going on in this song starting with the guitar at the 1 min mark. 1:20 guttural stops like Buddy Holly. Lastly, the sentiment "Used to be mine" is kind of Buddy Holly-esque (Peggy Sue Got Married).
I wonder if these touches were intentional or just natural.
Damn this is funny. It means well I guess but its almost catchy in a bad way so I guess kids would have a chorus with the words "crack and cocaine" stuck in their heads.
