Also, since we're hosting here in the Hall of Justice tonight, we have been cleaning. That means my mood is montage music. Like this.

They even say SportsHoopla. :D

These 2 songs are off of their respective album of the year nominated albums. I highly recommend both if you don't already have them:

OMFG I FOUND REAL MUSIC PRODUCED BY MY GENERATION.

I've been hooked on this album, this song in particular:

I also just got into John Legend recently and I'm wondering what the hell I was waiting for:

I pretty much like anything that involves real instruments. Drums, bass guitar, guitar etc. just sound so much better than synthesizers. It's the reason pop from the 60's holds up so much better than pop from the 80's.

Well... Psychedelics helped as well. There's plenty of good pop out nowadays as well whom play all instruments on their own.

I agree there is good pop music, and a lot of pop music uses instruments, my point being instruments are timeless. A guitar will sound like a guitar in 30 years. A synthesizer will sound better in 30 years than it does now, which will make synth heavy music today not as enjoyable in the future.

I'm not exactly breaking any new ground here. It's why people still like The Temptations and few people are saying I need more Stacy Q on my iPod.

The Temptations are great.

I recently discovered the Jimmy Castor Bunch. Not pop, but fucking great. 60's/70's were so fucking great for music.

I think I like the 90s the most, a lot of diverse, interesting music.
