On this date in 1995, Bruce Springsteen won three Grammy awards for the song 'Philadelphia' - Song of the Year, Best Male Vocal Performance, and Best Rock Song - Good tune and movie.

try as i did, only springsteen i ever liked was the ghost of tom joad.tom morello was great on it.
I don't know how or why my older sisters developed a taste for hard rock, but they had various Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, and Judas Priest albums that I played on her record player. I was indoctrinated early lol
my sisters played me the beatles mostly.i got into hard rock at 14 in 77.mostly zeppelin, sabbath and rush.

lol - It's not terrible, but in my opinion, it pales in comparison to Joe Jackson's version (which I believe @puckhead posted earlier in this thread).

How about some Norah Jones as a palate cleanser - Really like this song and she has a beautiful voice.

A buddy of mine worked on one of her tours a few years ago, and got me great seats for her show. Like row 5ish right in the middle.

She had a bad cold (Kleenex box on the piano was a nice touch) so had this amazing bluesy rasp to her voice

Since we were discussing Joe Jackson yesterday, how about a deeper Joe Jackson cut?

A year ago David Lindley left us - You want to get a party started and the girls on the dance floor, just put this on the turntable...
