I think it was right around the Y2K panic for me (1999 going into 2000). Napster was going strong with the music sharing and winamp delivered the tunes.

His whole “no one sings like you anymore” posthumously released album is amazing. All covers. Almost all better than the originals imo

/Album title is fitting
