It was very popular when I was a kid too. My brother and sisters played it a lot with our neighbors.

The US Women's gymnastic team should clean up. Russia, Romania and China all looked shaky while we looked solid.

Yep, they really did look good yesterday. It is too bad that Wieber didn't get finals even though was 4th overall. That is a stupid rule that only 2 per country can make it when one country has 3 of top 4. It is as stupid as the BCS in college football

Just to get caught up without actually reading the thread:

The 4-by-100 freestyle relay was an excellent race. That French dude flew on the last leg. Holy crap.

And they need to get rid of that only two per country can qualify rule for gymnastics. I like gymnastics, and I want to see the best in the world compete, not the two best from each of twelve countries. It will dilute the event.

Agreed, The Olympics are suppose to be "The Best" athletes. It's like the All Star games where EVERY team needs to have a player on it. It does dilute the competition.

Holy shit, I wonder who pissed in his morning coffee. He seems like one angry asshole!

for a little bit of background, when the Olympics were in Vancouver, the UK Guardian went on a daily diatribe about how the event was the worst olympics ever, and that the nation should be ashamed of itself. It was relentless as only British media can be.
Harrison was asked to do a response BY the British newspaper, and this is the result.

here's another one with a more subtle dose of smarm:
London 2012: Please resist the urge to mock London's Opening Ceremony | London 2012 | Sports | National Post

Tsonga had to go to three sets to beat this guy from Brazil whom I haven't heard much about. I don't see many long rallies in the match between Raonic and Tsonga.

Lots of buzz/questions here about Chinese swimmer Ye Shiwen. She won the 400IM Saturday with a last 50m free faster than... Ryan Lochte's.
