It was on yesterday. I saw a preliminary round match between Estonia and Canada. Ended in a 0-0 tie. The stone never made it down into the scoring zone.

Canada's has a secret weapon as its skip.

It's an incredibly rough sport on its athletes. One has to scrub the grass at a frenetic pace with those rakes just to get that stone to move at all.

They had a great personal story about one of the competitors who grew up a VERY rich neighborhood full of grass. Not ideal conditions for becoming a field curler where largely dirt fields are preferred. But he became so strong he sweeps away grass. That kid could have been an equestrian rider or a golfer, but he loved field curling too much. Beautiful story.

No question about it, that guy rakes with the best of 'em.

A tweet from Bryan Mudruk (TSN):

After winning bronze in 52kg judo, ITA Rosalba Forciniti flashed camera, and shirt says "Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go to London.

Damn you Balotelli :D

Holy shit...this Kazakhstani girl just lifted like 290 lbs.

I think she could break my nuts just by snapping her fingers.

Wow, Puck...which country?

Japanese. Rie Tanaka

apparently she has two sisters who are also nationally ranked gymnasts.
don't think that that little tidbit didn't measure into my decision to accept her into my home.
