yeah...but the rumor also said that money was coming our way with Snyder...soooo, i'm guessing we're sending someone or picks. it seems like a move a contending team would do for depth. not the pittsburgh pirates.

Oh yeah, I forgot they were sending us cash. Then I hope it doesn't happen. But we cannot trade picks, it's not allowed under the current structure of MLB. If we traded someone of no consequence, I wouldn't be opposed though. A guy like, for example, Brian Bixler or Mitch Jones.

ahh, fail moment on me. my head was in NHL mode. sorry :P and maybe that's why we picked up mitch 'i wanna be garrett' jones. in that case i wouldn't mind, but still, that's money our frugal owner could use on better players...or signing our highly touted draft picks.

as upset as our 'worthy announcers' are that jeff was taken out, i think this is a great example of JR doing something right he normally screws up royally. he took a pitcher out before a major meltdown. we have a great bullpen, USE IT.

I won't be watching or following baseball any more than a cursory level until some sort of revenue sharing and/or salary cap is put into place.

MLB has revenue sharing. They need a min/max cap though...

okay, best story of the day (sorry, not a cruel person...just irony) is Dez "too cool for school" Bryant injuring himself after declaring that he wouldn't carry a vets pads. okay, i'm sorry ROOKIE but this exists in every sport at every level. it's not hazing, it's part of being accepted into a team. don't be an idiot as well as a jerk and pretend like you didn't know it existed. 'i'm being paid to play football.' yeah, you're being paid so much it shouldn't bother you to carry 2 pound shoulder pads a few hundred feet.
