they have a Canada - US softball challenge (slow pitch) on TV.
crazy scores. 25-16 in the top of the 4th.
you are only allowed 10 home runs per game, so when they hit a solo shot they are pissed.
after that, if you hit one out of the park it's an out.
this one CDN dude is 3 for 3, with 3 homers through 4 innings.

I've had that on, actually. Did you see the U.S. guy make that catch, then get his foot stuck in the fence?

no, missed the early part of the game.

It's so goofy to see an inning where two of the outs come via home-run.

No kidding. Playing the CD-ROM version of Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?

what an entertaining finish.
US scored 4 in the bottom of the 7th without getting an out, to bring it to 30-29.
Runners on the corners, still nobody out.... Sac fly will tie it.

home run = 1 out, home run = 2 out, then a ground out to preserve the 1 run victory.

that game was not exciting in the least...goofy goofy rules. obviously you have to limit the HRs, but it being an out is flawed. i dislike slow pitch a lot...it's slow pitch baseball for men who can't swing a quick enough bat to play baseball. it's a fun past time, church league, day in the park, men's league thing, but you can't make it a legit sport on ESPN...sorry. like to see those roided monsters hit a finch fastball.

I agree with the rule being goofy. I would have figured it was limited to a single, or maybe ground rule double.
When hitting home runs is so easy that you need to limit them to 10 per game, it's time to change to a whiffle ball or wooden bats or bigger fields or something. Imagine.... these guys lost the game because two of them hit home runs by accident.

for me, it was fun to watch, but just as a spectacle. I still think it was a very entertaining (or maybe dramatic is a better word) finish.

yeah, it was dramatic at the end, but the air was let out of the balloons when a homer was ruled an out...twice. i mean, these guys were trying NOT to hit homers and did. and aluminum bats should be ruled out. it's a 350ft. fence and bunch of juicing men...come on, and you're going to punish them for hitting homers? just stupid. i can't imagine how those guys feel now..."OHH, WHYYY DID I HAVE TO HIT A HOMERUN!"

If it were me, I'd see TFK. Only seen them once (4 years ago), while I saw RK last year.

I play guitar too. Have played for about 6 years now. I hope you stick with it, and maybe ask someone you know that knows how to play guitar to help you. Right now I'm feeling that helpless stage your at right now. Much harder than I thought learning it would be. But I also got an Alverez black aucoustic today. Has such an awsome full sound.

Oh and Puck also plays
