Jim Fucci, the owner and bartender at The Other Place, AKA the Penny Bar in my college town retired tonight, just three days before I go home.

He was an awesome dude, accumulated 1.3 million pennies just to see how big a million was, inspired by Carl Sagan's Cosmos series. The Science Channel, the Discovery Channel, and the History Channel were regulars on the TVs, he occasionally made ham and cheese sandwiches and brought them in for free, and he sold 50 cent pickled eggs which were delicious.
