Jesus...about nearly shit my pants when Verlander jammed his arm into the ground trying to catch a ball. He was clearly in some pain there.

Catcher threw the ball back to Verlander after a pitch, the ball hit the umpire's outstretched arm (having just signaled a strike) and Verlander had to dive for it because the play was live and there was a runner on third base.

He looks OK now, though. Whew.
