I have returned from California. On our way back, we went through a haboob which contained a massive electrical storm. It was almost constant lightning, massive bolts, horizontal across the sky. The scene bordered on apocalyptic, what with the massive amounts of dust everywhere, watching it fly off the tops of dunes, and the win trying its best to push the truck off the road, and then the most impressive lightning I've ever seen in my life flashing this way and that all over the sky.

We called it a habooberstorm.

I lived in L.A. for a year and the lightening storms there were about the best I'd seen anywhere.
