Steve Blass is calling tonight's game, and some fans below the booth shouted "We love you, Steve Blass!" Tim Neveret said something along the lines of Blass paying his neighbors to cheer for him under the booth, to which Blass responded, "They're just knowledgeable baseball fans."

Now they're chanting "Steve Blass!"

After which they chanted "Bob Walk!"

So Blass said, "How fickle these people are!"

That and 8 weeks of vacation.

My Dad works for Siemen's and somehow he's run out of vacation days on the year (minus his 6 work days saved for his annual Outer Banks fishing birthday bonanza...it's all the man wants for his bday), and I constantly tell him "Just write a letter to the powers that be at Siemen's, because I guaran-freaking-tee you your German counterpart is getting at least 6 weeks." And you know what? THEY'RE MORE PRODUCTIVE!

Also, I had In N Out for the first time today. I was unimpressed. And the fries were terrible. The milkshake was good, though.

I've had In N Out (lots) and 5 Guys (twice). In N Out is superior in terms of the cheeseburger but their fries are garbage. And I like that In N Out tends to pay their employees at a higher wage. Happy smiling teen workers every time I'm in there.

i have had a soft spot for them even since, at the age of 14, when i ordered an iced tea they served me a double long island ... no complaints!

I like Five Guys. Red Robin just moved into my area and I have been there twice. It is OK, not as good as Five Guys or the Fuddruckers it replaced IMO.
