Everyone knows at least one of these.

2. Ignoranus : A person who’s both stupid and an asshole.

I came up with this one a while ago, it breaks the 1-letter rule (2 letters replace one):

splashback: the inevitable effect of using a urinal

Here's a fun game...

POST HIT SONGS THAT HAVE NO LYRICAL CONTENT IN THE CHORUS
-Can't be an instrumental/classical song
-Must have regular lyrics in the verses and/or bridge, but the chorus is just oooo's, ahhhh's, or nonsense words

And.... go!

Well done, Puck. Love the song - actually bought it on iTunes after listening for like 60 seconds. But man... that dude's teeth....that is a SHOW.

I feel like U2 and Coldplay both have an entry in this category, but I can't pull it yet. Coldplay likes to do nonsense in the first half of the chorus and then add some words later in the chorus. "Clocks" is very close, but not quite.

Hmmm, that's a tough one eloco, this doesn't quite qualify, but comes close enough, I reckon...

So many close calls..

Spandau Ballet - True
Blur - Song 2
Coldplay - Clocks

The chorus has lyrics, but the famous part of them doesn't.

(EDIT - Yeah, Dash, I think that song would fall in the same category as those I've listed here. The part people know is the nonsense section, but there are lyrics. This is harder than I thought initially.)

Beatles - Obla-di
Police - Doo doo doo, da da da
Rolling Stones - doo doo doo (heartbreaker)
