Wise had it covered. He told the ump it was sciencey stuff. He had a quantum baseball and that it'd be back in a jiffy. Works every time.

yeah, the out isn't recorded until you bring the ball back in to the field.
eg. you can't jump over the fence to catch the ball, and then throw the ball back into play from over the fence... you need to come back into the field of play (record the out), then throw the ball back in.

Yeah, the toss looked premature. Hannahan wasn't really shouting or in his face, and my lip reading pretty much just caught, "He didn't have the ball," and not much else. I think the umpire knew he screwed up and tossed him out of frustration.

I'm clearly not a natural jogger.

Jogged for less than 15 minutes and the left side of my knee started barking so I stopped. After 20-25 minutes of walking, I barely made it back to the car.

That was a waste of an hour.

Get a bike. I have done so much damage to my ankles and knees in my life that I couldn't run 200 yards unless my life depended on it.

But I can ride 50+ miles without much discomfort at all.

And anti-inflammatories are your friend.
