I definitely think that's the answer at this point...just wish they'd give it a try. I think the biggest issue is who to move to make room for him. Lincoln does have options left I think...but honestly I'd rather DFA Resop.

Cruz, not Resop. Resop is a lot more useful. He has like 10 good outings and one stinker in cycles, but the good greatly outweighs the bad, and he's a power pitcher who can miss bats. Resop is also both better and cheaper than pretty much anyone we could replace him with.

I've got respect coming out of my ass for Ichiro. One of the greats.

He would have been a better hitter if he stayed in his swing. He's on base a lot, sure, but that's almost exclusively tied up in batting average, and he's actually below average as a hitter overall for his career, and even at his best was just about average.

But his defense and base running are so remarkably good that he is still one of the best outfielders in recent memory.

I guess what I'm saying is that Ichiro's bat gets headlines it doesn't deserve while his three exceptional tools (baserunning, fielding, and arm) get essentially overlooked.
