so I made beer can chicken 2 nights ago.

can of normal lager
in the can
1 tbl spoon lemon juice (fresh)
2 crushed garlic cloves
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes
1 tbl spoon fresh thyme

on the chicken some extra virgin olive oil rubbed into and out of the cavity and on its body then season with this rub

1 tbl spoon paprika
1/2 tea spoon lemon zest
1 tbl spoon fine chopped rosemary
1 tbl spoon fresh thyme
1/2 tea spoon kosher salt
1/2 tea spoon fresh ground pepper

cook until done on indirect medium heat


it was great. but what was better was the sandwiches I had to today using leftovers.

chicken salad sandwiches on rye bread

so good

i was on my deck one day and a humming bird flew right up to my face hovered 1 foot away and then took off. it was pretty cool
