Well, that may have been the most boring Pirates win I've ever attended. It's a win, so that's great...but I was also surrounded by a bunch of stereotypical Pittsburghers who merely go to games because PNC Park is pretty. Boo-ing Pedro, even though he was the only run to cross the plate, completely ignoring the fact that McCutchen had a much worse night at the plate, and that Pedro had a great night at 3rd. Guy next to me (who also felt the need to make me stand up 10xs to get beer/food) yelled at him "PEDRO! THAT'S THREE TONIGHT (K's)! THAT'S PATHETIC!" Sir, if you weren't so busy getting your beer every half inning you'd know it was only 2 strikeouts as well as knowing HE SCORED THE ONLY RUN. This on top of the "We need to trade for a bat" group drove me nuts. Please dear people, tell me who you would trade for a legitimate bat? Paul Martin? Probably Jordan Staal. Just like the Martin situation, there's no value there.
