I live close to Crofton (of course, this is the Crofton on Vancouver Island). Just a stone's throw from the Maple Bay Beach and Marina.

that is terrible pricing. our market is insane, Im so glad Ive been in the market now for 7 years. got a big head start but jesus its nuts

you guys see whats happening on the cambie corridor from little mountain to oakridge ... the zoning has changed to low rise multi unit high density because of the canada line and the big lots are being flipped to developers who are going to build condos and townhouses ... houses that were assessed at 1 million were selling for 4 ???

when my dad bought his house in 1970 ... he had a choice between 2 equally priced houses ... $34000 for a corner lot near the PNE and $35000 for a house on cambie and around 38th (???) ... he chose the house near the PNE because there were more Italians living in the area ... that kids ... is called an "epic fail"!

so when my dad said BUY in 2003 ... I knew he meant when he said Id regret it if i didnt

I started in a townhouse in richmond. got it at a decent price and after 2 years flipped it for a good profit. I went from that townhouse to a full size house for the same price again in richmond just not as nice an area a good area but just not as nice as terra nova, then after 2 years I flipped that house for another profit and moved to Delta for twice the size lot, a nicer house (700sq ft bigger), an incredible view and all for a $100K cheaper than richmond. Im dealing with more traffic in and out but its not like Im in langley or past that. in richmond traffic It could take 45 mins to an hour to get downtown. its no different taking the 91 to vancity as well
