Yesterday was one thing but honestly why the hell are they out of town on VDW but home on MDW?

The funnest Jays game I went to this decade was a Saturday VDW game against the Mets in, like, 2014 or something. The team was still crap and the place was packed. Why send them away and then compound it with robbing an American team of a home series on their long weekend?
