Also, I got back in the net tonight for my weekly street hockey game after being hampered for weeks by a knee injury, and I played really well once I got my bearings back. Some of the best work I've done with the pads, for sure.

Victor Martinez has not struck out looking since late May of 2013 (more than 600 plate appearances). He has struck out in only 3.5% of his plate appearances this season, which is all the more remarkable given his streak since he is clearly swinging the bat. He has actually been intentionally walked more times than he has struck out this year.

That is nuts.
