and then what?
It looks pretty good, and she seems like a she should be a compelling and complicated protagonist. I hope they do something to connect the end of Aang's tale to the beginning of her's, though.
One benefit of going in this direction with the new season is that they can open themselves up to a nearly unlimited reach of seasons. As long as they want to write it, they can keep making seasons with new avatars, old avatars, or whoever the heck they want to follow. It's a good setting to work in.
And I think Bumi was somewhere in the 110-115 range. But if this is 70 years later, that means Aang dies as 82. Given how much energy Bumi still had, and how long the other avatars lived, that's really young for him to die. The two avatars before him had to live to around 150.
The only thing that might be a problem to me is that the setting seems to be alot different in only 70 years...
Closer to our modern world, it seems from the one image on that link you sent me. If your issue is the same as mine, there seemed to be a huge connection to nature in the first three books, and that connection might be weaker in the new season. Of course, since she's fighting some anti-bending movement, that kind of makes sense. Though the progress does seem a little unrealistic.
