Beat me to my own argument.

And thanks for calling me great. :)

Anytime. Speaking of great scientists, I saw a 60-minute piece on J. Craig Ventner today. Synthetic organisms - fascinating stuff. That guy has huge balls!

Character development is my favorite thing to analyze in books, movies, and television shows, and when I analyze my own character, it can be remarkable what I find.

Mine too. You ever see Six Feet Under? That's a GREAT character development show. One of the reasons it's one of my favs.

I haven't, but I'll have to check it out now. Thanks for the tip.

I excessively analyzed it in Avatar: The Last Airbender. I'm on a science nonfiction kick right now reading-wise, so I haven't had a lot to analyze in that regard, but I'm enjoying the reading.

Also, favorite book (so far) for character development: John Milton's Paradise Lost

Never seen Devil.

I really want to get into Mad Men, but i've watched a couple episodes and was lost. I think I have to check it out from the start. People whose taste I trust all swear by it.

I need to do that for Breaking Bad. I would feel like a bad chemist if I didn't start watching that.

Oh you have to watch from the start to see how much everyone changes!

Devil. 5 people are stuck in an elevator...every one of them has a shady past and every time the light goes out one of 'em gets axed. It's actually a Christian parable so don't know how interested you guys would be in it. :p

It reminded me strongly of a Bridge over San Luis Rey, the book.

I would be very interested, actually. I want to see it now.
