LOL.

Can I say.....the movie was a total let down. I've read the book probably two or three times and I was expecting it to be a lot more graphic. Not so much.

Its been years since I read the book. I really liked it but it was disturbing. (rat-habitrail sp) So I was not upset when they movie was a bit more tongue in cheek and toned down.

Loved him looking at Bono in the book and thinking 'he is just like me'.

I am relaxin', Boss. He wants to live in my heater? Fine, fuck him. I'm not bothering him. He better just stay the fuck out of my bed. But after the night I had in here last night/this morning, that motherfucking mouse better be scared.

I got rid of the mice in my son's house. It's no biggie they have stuff you can use now that keeps them away and you don't need to deal with the nasty dead shit.

I hope for your sake the bugger bolts before it dies. That smell is rank. A mouse died in my dorm room last year, crawled under my couch and died. I found it like a week later. Awful.

Darkstone - Are you okay? Emotionally drained? Will you make it to the 2nd day of free agency? ;)

That was very strange. I didn't dislike it, but I didn't enjoy it. I feel totally Switzerland about it.

The Penguins got Sullivan on the cheap, so I'm good. :) Also, I took my first mass spec. today, so that was cool.

What?

I almost sat down and wrote an essay tonight just for fun on the whole emotional state of Pittsburgh through this whole thing. It's very interesting to me. I read through the Pens board for a little why just to see the range of ideas/emotions over a few days. This observation I boiled down struck me...

-Insulated towns (meaning less transient, smaller large cities, places people are more likely to live much/their whole life, etc) like Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Buffalo, Kansas City, etc. seem to take on more of an emotional pain from these types of things. I thought in DC people wouldn't take this stuff as hard b/c the connection is not as strong there, but also its a reflection of daily life in some ways. These types of decisions are probably made in people's own lives more often in a places like DC as compared to Pittsburgh, so there is an empathy there. It's good and both for both places, it just struck me the nature of the town and people there and their experiences factor in.

I have not read that. I read 'The Road" and "No Country For Old Men" by him. Was it good? I like his stuff but the non punctuated dialogue bugs me at times.
