Upon further review...the umpire totally blew the call. Tampa player was safe.

Tigers get screwed so often that I'll take one of these I guess.

Raise the Jolly Roger! Pirates win to pull themselves to 32-33, tie the series with the Mets, and go 6-4 on what I would call a successful homestand.

Some guy on a local sports radio station said that if the Pirates are .500 or better after 68 games, he'll wash all the players' jock straps. I really hope they win 2 of their next 3, which should be very possible because they have a three-game set in Houston up next.

Wow, impressive. I played for four years as a kid. Wish I'd kept up with it and make take lessons again sometime down the road. Been thinking about that more and more lately. Such a great instrument. So much sound with just two hands.
