Basically what I think too, but I don't know if we would be able to trade poti due to his health concerns. There is still talk about him being forced into retirement because of his injury from last season...

Yeah, I'm not sure either. I basically meant trade him for a bag of pucks. His experience would be good on a cap floor team and his hit is reasonable. That's the most challenging part, though we still have cap room to keep him if we can't move him. He, Hannan, or Erskine as the 6th D-man is the decision.

I'm just amazed we could move Semin, sign Richards, and probably have more than $4milion in cap space left. We are getting huge value from some of our young guys (goalies, Carlson, Mojo) and that's the time when you have to make a push and sign someone big to put you over the top. This team will also be grittier/tougher as well. I love how it looks. I hope they do something.

If we couldn't trade Poti, would you be against trading Schultz and signing Hannan? People are alot harder on Schultz than he really deserves, but I think if they were signed at the same $$$, I'd rather have Hannan

Nope. You have your puck movers Green, Wideman, and Carlson all under contract, so that's good. Then you have some combo of Schultz, Alzner, Hannan, and Erskine as your tougher/D-oriented guys on each line. I'm not opposed to any combo and would like to see Hannan stay. I think he was a big factor in the improvement on D this year. You'd need to move Schultz or Erskine to do it, both of which have good value/contract size. Or you keep all four and wait to see how the season/injuries go. Hannan's contract is the wild card. What do you think? $3.5 million/year?

Also with the Liach deal, I think he's the 1st line RW starting as early as half way through this upcoming season if Knuble has trouble.

Yup. The lines were just a draft. We know BB will move them a ton anyway, though I'd like to see that change too. MORE STABLE lines this year. Let the guys build chemistry and motivate them in other ways. Or worry less about motivation b/c you unloaded the most apathetic guy and added another leader or two.

Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic DVD.:)

Nice! I LOVE the Olympics! My favorite YouTube vids are the closing credits of any Olympics. I can almost never make it through without crying. They are just such a beautiful idea.

I think that's high. Gotta be 3m or less for me. You know I loved how erskine played last season, but I.doubt he can repeat his career year this upcoming season. If he can, hell yeah I love big Johnny Erskine
