Just mucked around with it a bit, D'stone. I like messing around with video editing. Basically, if you take your two pictures and save each one like 4-5 times with increasingly lower brightness/contrast (for the day) and higher bright/contrast (for the night), you can fake a "sunset" transition to night by overlapping them all. This is just with two versions of each picture (and not adjusting for the slight angle difference, which could be fixed, but I wanted to try it out in 15 minutes, not an hour).

I see what you mean, eloco, but I think it would have been better had I taken another picture between them to connect them, kind of a sunset image or something, and the first picture could be slightly yellowed into the sunset, which could then be dimmed and de-yellowed into the nighttime picture.

It's still a neat effect, and you did well with it, especially for only 15 minutes of effort.
