In college football news, Case Keenum is out for the year with a torn ACL. His backup Tyron Carrier is also out for the year with a broken collarbone. I'm interested in whether Case could get a medical redshirt considering he is a senior.....

In junior hockey, eligibility pretty much depends on age, and age alone.

Ouch. Like everyone else I'm glad he's ok too. It's weird though, it's like the guy didn't even see the bat coming until after it hit him. Not something you'd expect to have happen, that's for sure.

Yeah, with the NCAA's genius heads deciding that if you even participate in a preseason game with a CHL team you are disqualified from ever playing college hockey in the United States, because by god the several hundred dollar stipend each player gets every month in the CHL makes it a professional league.

All I know is Detroit scored 6 in the 7th to take a 7-3 lead, then Chicago got 4 in the 9th to tie it, and Detroit just won 9-7 after Manny struck out as the winning run.
