I am very sorry for your loss Steve. As I've been through this kind of thing more often than a person should have to, I know what you're going through and I wish you all the best my friend.

Thanks again all for all of the kind words and thank you Jack for the phone call today it helped a lot. It's been a rough few hours and I may be off of the board for a bit to travel to her hometown for the funeral and visit her family.

Boss, I am sorry this happened. Like others said, living in regret won't help you. The best you can do is pay your respects and try to accept the situation.

My uncle was a a drug addict and an alcoholic for years (started when he was SIX). Eventually, he had to pick between drugs and his son. He chose his son and has been clean for almost twenty years (after three or four stints in rehab).

Drugs can be something fun that you do once in awhile, but people develop a dependency if they're not mentally tough enough to resist temptation and the power of addiction.

Once again, sorry for your loss.

Very sorry to hear Steve. I know its hard not to think about the "what if"s but it sounds to me like you did everything you could to help. There was only so much you could do. You're a good man. Hang in there!
