Doug has already been stung by one Ginger this year -- He's not about to be stung by another!
I always thought those Huggins teams were limited by their approach. Once he started to recruit 5-star big men, he stopped pressing and trying to score in transition.

Oh, I'm always all in. Just trying to temper my enthusiasm with reality. By this time, though, Huggins already had been to a final four and elite eight. Mick needs to keep that in mind. Much as I think he's a great defensive teacher, he hasn't gotten out of the sweet 16 yet, and he's only been there once. This team needs to make a deeper run.

I agree to some extent.... Though, as much as I loved the final four Bearcats, I have to admit that their run to the tourney was greatly assisted by a bunch of upsets. I don't think they played one team with a higher seed (and they were a 3 seed). Their sweet 16 game was against UTEP and their elite 8 game was against a Memphis team that they had owned all season.

Doug is wrong. The AAC will put 5-6 teams into the NCAA tourney. They'll put more teams in than the ACC.

UConn and SMU will have to finish strong to keep their slots. The bottom five of the AAC are extremely weak. AAC is not the Great Midwest, but it's not the ACC either. I wouldn't have argued if you said 4-5 bids. Six is ludicrous. According to Sagarin's rankings they are the 8th best conference, behind not only the SEC but also the A10.

They're MUCH better than the A10. Make it stop.

A-10 is not better than the AAC.

Lou
Memphis
UConn
UC
Temple (made last 4 NCAA's I believe)

Best teams in A-10 left.

Also...Jackson just went down with a leg injury, and hasn't been back to the floor after going to the locker-room. Not good.

I have the AAC getting 5 teams in the tourney in my latest bracket projection.

I'm busy working on my third round mock draft right now, so my data might be a little off.

AAC will get:

Lou
UC
Memphis
UConn

Could get SMU

Also, after 10 minutes in the locker room, Jackson has returned to the bench, but not the game. Nothing out of the oridinaly looking for him while on the bench right now (ice pack/wrap/etc).

And I forgot SMU, which will rise under brown, and is the "5th" team looking to make the NCAA's for the AAC this year.

You've gone completely mental now. Yeah, Saint Louis and UMASS are better than Louisville and UC....MAKE.IT.STOP!!!!!

The bottom of the A-10 is better than the bottom of the AAC. A-10 has 9 of 13 teams in the top 100. AAC has only 5 of 10 in the top 100. You have to consider more than the best teams in each conference. There is a 10+ point drop between the fifth and sixth ranked team in the AAC, which is very top heavy.

None of it matters how great a league you are in if you can't get 2-3+ teams in the NCAA.

The AAC is going to have 4. Probably 5.

The A-10 is going to have....2...maybe?
