These guys have been a really pleasant surprise. I'm ecstatic to be in the position we're in. And Rubles even made two shotputs. Rubles normally couldn't score 24 in three games much less one.

I think they have some serious flaws on offense, but they'll be a tough out for sure.

Totally agreed. I thought this year's Justin Jackson would be last year's with the departure of everyone, but that didn't happen, and I didn't expect it to happen this year.

We all knew SK was going to be SK, but the improvement from Jackson, and the overall defensive efforts by guys like Thomas, Caupain, and even Lawrence to give Jackson rest have really be the underlying story of the season. How many times in the past has Cronin just refused to play freshmen because of their defense. It really says a lot about this class, and of course, the leadership of the Seniors.

I had them pegged for maybe 20 wins, and struggling to get back into the NCAA.

UC starting out rough.

1-8, and 2 turnovers.

Not helping that there were at least 2 fouls not called on layups missed due to contact, but none the less, got to finish.

As I watch this team for this year, I can't help be be seriously concerned about next year. Guyn and Sanders are the only Seniors. Neither are starting material. Thomas will be counted on as being the go-to scorer...

It's going to be rough next year. More than I feared about this year.

Amazing what happens when you can attack the rim and not continue to worry about trying to get fouls called...

Also helps for UC to get out in transition. This is when they are at their best...running the floor beating teams down the court and scoring quickly to avoid falling into their half-court, which isn't good.

Me too. Rutgers definitely had a trap set for us. SK is the man!

They were running a ton of baseline plays and guys weren't keeping with their man.

By now you probably know, the #1 seed was determined by coin-flip thanks to Memphis' win, since UL also won.

Had SMU won, UL would have won the #1 seed due to tie-breaker.

I can't imagine losing to Memphis anywhere. Their offensive style plays right into our defense. SMU, UConn, and Louisville are another matter entirely.

We've owned them twice..... So I understand your confidence. But they are a team that had enough talent to beat Louisville twice. Beating them three times in a season would be difficult - Even if we do pose match up issues for them.
