They've gotten a bit soft. They are trying to force bad passes to SK, and are not diving for the loose balls like they were earlier in the year. They need every possession they can get offensively.
20 turnovers against a team that doesn't even press shows a lack of focus, and just plain laziness.
Get back on defense. If you do that you eliminate 80% of their offense.
Giving up that 3 to a wide open shooter because of bad defense really hurts. SK nails a clutch 3, and then you play bad defense and give it right back.
They need to keep defending. They've twice, in the last 5 minutes, got up by 17+ and starte not getting back on defense.
Memphis is easy to figure out. They will run at every chance. If you stop them and force them into half-court, they want to shoot a 3.
How hard is that? You KNOW what they are going to do...yet guys like Thomas, Guyn, and Sanders look surprised every time someone from Memphis takes a 3 (and makes it).
I don't know that I've ever liked a group of players at UC as much as this.
Kenyon's senior year was cool, and I really liked all of those guys, but this team is something different. A lot of self-made players, filling pieces of the puzzle, and just getting it done.
