This brings up one thing I hate about our current judicial system...the dummy who was breaking into someones house, fell through a sunlight, hurt himself and SUED THE HOMEOWNERS.

Most states, PA included protect you fromthis under their castle laws. It includes civil litigation. I live kind of close to Homestead (which is not as bad as it's rep) so I have studied this a lot. :)

If it ever comes to a situation where I would be forced to shoot someone, and I pray to God that it never does, I am aiming for the head. If I have to shoot, I WILL shoot to kill. It is the only way.

As for personal defense, a word of advice...shotguns are your best bet. Having just awoken from a deep sleep, loaded with adrenaline and fear is notthe best time to have rely on pinpoint aim. Buckshot will do. The cleanup is a bitch but well worth the reliability.

Unless you are a cop or soldier, you are not equipped to pinpoint aim under these circumstances. Scatterguns FTW.

Do you realize how awful many of them are with their shot. I read a report that most scenes of a law officer having to shoot there are many rounds in the ground before the victim/suspect.

I've considered this, but with the spread of a shotgun, even a miss toward the head would most likely blind or incapacitate the guy more so than a glancing chest shot. The chest is bigger though, so it is a balancing act. I think I can get one or two off.

Yes, but did he WIN? You can sue for all kinds of things and it makes the headlines, the end result months later rarely does. Your duty of care changes with what kind of person is on your land - someone invited, solicitor, trespasser, etc. Usually the last is a pretty high standard to overcome (example - you can't put "death traps" on your land).

That's what she said????

:noidea:

:D

How goes it Tyler?

Baseball is doing a poor job of holding me over until Football. Once fooball is here, things will move faster towards hockey. Regular season, but we did make a number of moves and I would like to see who plays where (not that it matters, because BB will have every lineup I make atleast once)

The Uggla run had to keep you at least somewhat intrigued. I love the few moves that the Pack did this season as well and think hey would demolish the Eagles no matter how much hype thy get. I think the Pack repeats and Rogers has 3-4 titles in him.

Haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary with home invasions here. We're more concerned with these flash mobs at the moment

I believe tear gas or gernades work best in the event of a flash mob, but I'm not a weapons expert.

The D will take some time to get going, but I think they'll get where they want to be before seasons end and be ready for the postsaeson. As far as the Wolfpack, eh. A lot of starters to replace. We should win the WAC, but that's not saying much...Right now baseball is just kinda bleh because I'm kinda just waiting for the playoffs at this point

Ok ladies and gents, on that note, I need Togo pick up flowers and a nice cake for the ladies birthday tonight. I am going to Giant Eagle for the cake so I will see if I can get more Crosby info, eloco.

I hear he is trying to find his balls.
