Yeah, I know Matty, they set the bar so high after Wrath of Khan that everything that followed was a disappointment.

Who wants to talk to a pointy-eared hobgoblin?
I thoroughly enjoyed that heh. Especially at the end. However it was sad when I saw DeForest and James
Yeah, and it's going to get even sadder when Nimoy and Shatner are no longer with us.
from the other thread
my friend had a theory. every 2nd Trek movie was good
Motion Picture bad
Wrath of Khan great
Search for Spock bad
The Voyage Home very good
The Final Frontier bad bad bad
The Undiscovered Country very very good
Generations bad (although its not horrible I enjoyed it somewhat)
First Contact good
Insurrection bad bad
Nemesis bad (this is where it breaks cycle)
Star Trek 2009 good
Star Trek Into Darkness debatable while its enjoyable its still not a great story and VERY lazy
Exactly how I feel. I caught flack for saying this after seeing it in the theater. It was fun but all they did was rehash the story from the second movie and switch places with Kirk and Spock. It just seemed like a cash grab playing off of fanboys nostalgia. The next movie will tell the legacy of this iteration of the cast.
I saw Nichelle at the Fan Expo here in Vancouver last year. I think Nimoy and Shatner have a little longer. Not sure why shes travelling all over the world for Expos. Just relax and retire.... she deserves it
caused by smoking I believe?
Yeah, and he's urging others to quit smoking.
its amazing that 30 years after he quit he gets diagnosed with it. wow. its never too early to quit Im glad I never took it up my dad smoked til the day he died which led to a brain aneurysm that killed him
I'm glad my dad finally quit for good after smoking for close to 35 years - Almost lost him last summer to a strange infection, but he's doing very well these days.
