The whole thing is just bizarre. The kidnapper didn't ask for money and apparently didn't know who her son was.

I have to confess, that I absolutely hate it when these types of stories get press just because the person is related to someone famous. Seriously, she's not even famous herself!
Similarly, I don't care that Usher's (former, right?) stepson or Sylvester Stallone's son died. That's not news to me.
People get killed or kidnapped every day but nobody gives a crap about them because they're not killed in a spectacular (using that in the sense of it being a spectacle, not in the sense of it being awesome) way, they're not good looking (Missing White Woman Syndrome), or they're not famous.

When I was a teenager and worked in a clothing store in my town, Miss Vi and Cal Sr would come in all the time. They were such nice people.
