My wife and I ate at Emeril's(the BAM guy) my opinion was an enhhhhhhhhhhh of it. Never went back.

I don't think Amazing Johnathon has a show anymore.

Blue Man Group, my wife and I hated it. I wanted lots of neon paint and pipe instruments, instead we literally had 45 minutes of liquified Hostess Twinkie routine(think projectile vomiting) with a little of what I wanted.

HIGHLY recommend: LOVE at Mirage. If you like the Beatles you will love this show. You want to sit in section 200s, tickets will be around $125 each.

HIGHLY recommend: Alize at Palms. Talk about an uber romantic dinner with a FABULOUS view. Pricey. If you want to go there, I can put in a good word for you there. Make your reservation about 40 minutes before the sun sets, so you can see the Strip lights come on and be mesmerized.

Eiffel Tower restaurant. Get a window table for a fantastic view of the Bellagio Fountains. Your wife will love it. The food is so-so, pricey.

Aureole at Mandalay Bay has the WINE TOWER with WINE ANGELS. Cool. Food is so so. Zero view.

There are lots of fabulous restaurants. Just about each resort has a go to killer steak house.

I will also recommend the NYNY Roller Coaster. Go on a New Moon night when it is PITCH black sky. Sit in the front car. Be in the front car and stare as you hurtle towards the Monte Carlo Casino and hope something happens.

Bring walking shoes. The casinos look close, but they are far far away.

Do not rent a car. Just get a cab.

From the airport, if the cab driver takes you through the tunnel you have been RIPPED OFF. if your cab driver is from one of the African Countries, chances are you will get tunneled.

If you want to go downtown, you can take the Express Bus. A three day ticket is $25 bucks. I always stay on the strip, but I play craps downtown.

If you have never been to Vegas before, do not try to do it all. Just walk around and look at the casinos/resorts. I almost always get lost in Caesars.

These properties offer free shuttle services
Gold Coast - Orleans - used to be Bills but it is undergoing renovation
Rio - Harrahs - Ballys
Palms - Caesars

Just read you are doing New York New York.

You are right by Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay. Cross over to Excalibur, there is a FREE tram that takes you to all three, use it.

You are right across the street from the MGM. MGM has the Cirque de Soliel KA show, which had a fatality in 2013. It has been modified, I used to recommend KA, but now I don't because the coolest part is the part where the woman died when her safety harness malfunctioned.

The M&M store is four floors with some photo ops all over.

Since you are down by the FABULOUS LAS VEGAS sign you might as well see it and do it.

The Welcome to FABULOUS LAS VEGAS sign is about a 15 minute walk SOUTH from Mandalay Bay. it is in the middle of Las Vegas BLVD with busy traffic on both sides. Idiotic drivers have swerved from the far right lane to make the turnin with a few accidents over the years.

On that end is also the Helicopter Tour Companies. Either take a ride or just watch them take off, which is cool.

Cab Fare from Airport to NYNY should be around $17 bucks with tip

Cab Fare from NYNY to Airport will be less because it is a straight shot to the departures.

Swenson to Tropicana to NYNY

Thanks for the input, I have been to Vegas twice - just a two short layovers in the airport tho. Not really what I'd call the Vegas experience.
