The last quote in the article is the one that kind of makes the whole thing make sense, though I doubt that was what the decision was based on.

If it was based on a belief that the bottled water makers were trying to imply that their water is better for rehydrating than regular water, it would make sense then to ban the statement.

I'm starting a study to find out if bottled water creates more plastic waste than tap water.
