I loved season one of the Leftovers, but season two was something of a letdown IMO.

It's a little much to have most everyone from season one move en masse from the same NY town to the same TX town - especially Meg. I also have a problem with how Kevin came back from the dead after being shot.

Nonetheless, I look forward to a (hopefully) better season three.

Maybe I'll pick this up again. I got about 4 or 5 episodes into season 1 before it became unwatchable to me.

those 2 elements were too much for you ??? You mean it wasnt a little much for you that 140 million people suddenly "departed" episode 1 season 1? lol (im kidding with you)

Im one of the few that liked season 1 ... it was dour and hopeless and i didnt mind it .. it certainly didnt have any type of thematic "end game" though where i thought season 2 did ... while leaving some questions that still need answering and thankfully/hopefully will be in the final season

and just to touch on this point ... thats a rather simplistic statement considering what Jarden Texas signifies in the post departure world ... EVERYONE wants to go to that town either to live there or visit or for some sort of spiritual salvation/understanding ... its the new mecca

Well I heard a little about this show and was not interested but after your recommendation I tried watching it. Only three episodes in (no spoilers) but its fascinating! So good.

Having a couple beers (shocker) and I half jokingly suggested to my wife that we stop drinking and put on a pot of coffee and then watch the next 7.

Meanwhile after episode 2, my wife said "i need to google if hes still in jail RIGHT NOW"

We then got into a war with me telling her shes not allowed to watch any more episodes with me. Almost RUINED christmas i tells yah

I've avoided looking it up. The way they dole out the information is so good I think knowing it all would ruin the show or at least hurt it.

Plus beyond how good the show is another plus is how good looking everyone is, not that I'm any Ricky Steamboat.

I watched it all over the past 2 days and wow.

Thank goodness I'm not poor, uneducated or in a legal battle with a Sheriff's relative.

I was so disgusted with our legal system after watching it.

For sure. I ended up watching it all without my wife, then thoroughly shamed her at family xmas dinner. Every member of her family asked her the same question ... "Why would you do that?"

/they all sounded like brendan dasseys mom :bolt:

Watched the whole thing in two days. Semi-seriously contemplated making coffee at midnight on Saturday/Sunday so that I could watch the last three episodes.

I don't want to spoil it for everyone, but I did not see the UFOs coming!

I'm 6 and a half episodes in, hope to be done by or on Wednesday.

Just finished the Leftovers S2....what a great show. Definitely cannot wait for S3.

Finished EP3 of Making a Murderer. It's crazy good and compelling TV.

After I finish that, there's nothing left......
