Ive nothing against Gambit, just never been a fan. I liked him a bit in some other stories. If they keep going the route of Xmen now I have faith. I dont mind Tatum at all, not the greatest actor but like you he has shown some good stuff to me.

I wasn't really a big fan of his, but his cameo in 'This Is The End' was great and the 2 movies I mentioned above, solid in his roles.

Gambit, since I was a little kid has been been my all-time favorite, alongside of Batman. I'm stoked he'll be in another live-action movie! I did enjoy his character in Origins, but he didn't get as much time as I wanted him to get.

I dont know a lot about Gambit, other than a few cameos in comics and Marvel video games. It might be fun.

Really concerned about DC's attempt at a cohesive movie universe. Just watched Man of Steel and while entertaining, the tone was completely wrong for Superman. The theme of superman is about an outsider who believes in the ideals of his adopted home, which he loves and protects, even at the expense of his heritage. They touched on that with Zod, but never showed us why Clark loved Earth. He's basically shit on hs entire life and never fits in. And the actor played him much too brooding - this isn't Batman. As much as "Superman Returns" was a wreck, the tone was much better.

Furthermore, the fights were all wrong. Superman fights are inherently boring because he's so powerful. Hiw do you make them exciting? Because on top of fighting his enemy, S also tries to protect everyone else from the fallout. That's the challenge, and what makes it exciting. S has to zoom around catching every falling rock while also being attacked - it's that self sacrifice - for others, for an ideal - that makes superman worth watching. But in MoS, he's basically just focused on the fight while whole skyscrapers collapse. Poor decision IMO, and probably an attempt by DC to mimic the Avengers.

So in conclusion, they got the tone completely wrong, theme execution was missed, and I think the casting - Affleck, Eisenberg, Godot, etc.. - are horrible. I hope I'm wrong but I think this will tur out to be a disaster.

Everyone, not saying you, just in general, has been up in arms about Affleck and Eisenberg, and it being the wrong casting. Let's go back 6 years ago when Heath Ledger was casted as The Joker and the all the backlash he faced from it. Now don't get me wrong, I was a little weary of it as well since I was a huge fan of Jack's Joker. But, after seeing TDK, IMO, Ledger performed one of the best if not the best on-screen performance I have ever seen. Now many will say it's because of his tragic death that they award him with that, but I still think it was one of the best and the way he transformed himself into the role.

Now, I on the other hand, love Affleck, he's one hell of an actor and Director. I think he's gonna nail his role. He's the exact type of persona they are going for with Batman. The older, retired, playboy lifestyle Batman. He fits it well.

In MOS I missed Clark Kent. I was always amused by that part of the movies. I thought Brendan Routh did really well at that part. The rest of that movie was a mess though. So was MOS in my opinion.

I like this title. Why? Because it gives me the suspicion that this film will serve as a precursor story to the formation of the Justice League, that's why.

Have you read the short story? Theres not much to it, you can finish it in 5 minutes, but I always liked it. The movie looks good to me, just havent seen it yet.
