Not too shabby...

An average audience of 4.3 million Canadians tuned in to TSN (4.1 million) and RDS (220,000) to watch the Toronto Argonauts dramatic come-from-behind victory over the Calgary Stampeders in the instant-classic championship game.

Overall, nearly 10 million unique viewers, or almost 30% of Canadians, watched some or all of the Argo’s dramatic 27-24 victory over the Stampeders. The game achieved a 34% share, meaning more one in three Canadians watching television across Canada on Sunday were tuned into the game.

Grey Cup draws 10% increase in viewership on TSN, RDS - CFL.ca

tv always strong for the cfl ... how do they put butts back in the seats in the 3 cities? ... or do they even need to if tsn will throw more big money at the league again

they have to decrease ticket prices ... it should not cost double to take a family of 4 to a bc lions game versus a whitecaps game

Yup, totally agree with the decrease in ticket prices. League sounds pretty bullish on a 10th CFL team for Halifax that could actually start playing in 2020. If they can get back to a 25K average in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal, the league should be okay as all the other teams are right there if not more than that. You wonder if Sportsnet wants to make a play for CFL games, a little competition for TSN for the tv rights is never a bad thing.

Ed Hervey is the new GM of the BC Lions. Oh my.

this of course means wally is out (of this position) but does it also mean Geroy could be out

If they decided to offload the Jays (I think this is a big possibility), maybe.

As long as they have Jays games all summer, there's no point in buying CFL rights just to toss it onto SN1/SN360.

Yeah, got to think the CFL sticks on TSN, TSN has done a lot for the game. I'll also throw CTV or CBC out there, CTV seems to be doing good with the NFL games, maybe they try to get some CFL games as well.

Press conference was a pretty good example of things to come.

Wally introduces Ed,
Ed hesitates on a tough question
Wally steps in and takes over the presser
