polymer bills have been in australia for a couple of years ... the material will make its way onto US bills in the next 5 years

I have serious doubts about the authenticity of that video clip.

1.) They showed a 100 dollar bill. It is a well known fact that Canadians are not allowed to have anything more than 2 dollar coins. I've been there once for 3 hours. I know what I'm talking about. Makes it a bitch to buy a pepsi from vending machines, but I digress.

2.) Not once in that entire clip did they show snow. Not. One. Time.

I'm a big fan of Vietnamese money.

Not only is it polymer, but it's also called Dong and you can get 1M Dong for less than $50 US.

Pretty cool to withdraw 1M in local currency and know that it barely dented your bank account back home.
