Question: was this not expected? I mean, I know lake effect isn't as simply predicted, but man...the stranded people and all, seems like you'd plan a bit. Also, this makes me think of how I'd react in these situations...and it'd probably be a panic attack situation. Can't go anywhere, feeling trapped, ughhhh.

Seems to have moved pretty fast. Some of the pics of the storm coming in are... scary.
Yes...how horrible to have that happen in the middle of the work week.
I gotta give Boss a hard time though. This is a little bit of overkill to keep people off your lawn, buddy.

It was the magnitude that was unexpected. They knew it was coming and that it was going to be a big one. What they didn't know was exactly just how big. They were calling for 2-3 feet initially...
Here's the crazy part... not even close to over yet:
Lake Effect Snow Warning - Buffalo, NY
Remains in effect until 1 am EST Friday ... Accumulations: 5 to 8 inches overnight, more than 2 feet Thursday, and 5 to 10 inches Thursday night ...
ANOTHER 3 FEET?!? Are you f'ing kidding me?!?
Images of IPW and Buffhockey have surface. They're OK. Sort of.
