I knew it was going to happen. None of the evidence was concrete and the prosecutors were incompetent. She just got away with murder.

The case the state put together in this trial was extremely weak. They couldn't even get a ToD or CoD for Caylee. Nothing linked Casey to the dead body. Say what you want about Casey, I believe she did it as I also stated on the thread in the water cooler, and say what you want about the American justice system, but the jury actually got this one right, at least from the evidence that I am aware of (and no I was not in the courtroom so I didn't hear everything). In the system we have, sometimes the criminal gets off, it's gonna happen. But like someone else stated on the main board, you have to make it hard to convict the guilty to protect the innocent. With all the forensic advances the last few decades, it's become easier to find those that are guilty. Unfortunately some cases have little to no forensic evidence and this was one of them.

I definitely understand the huge range of emotions stemming from this trial. The whole country was interested in it. But if you want to get mad at someone get mad at the prosecution. They went to trial and wanted a murder one conviction with circumstantial evidence and nothing that conclusively labeled Casey as the killer. The prosecution should have known better than that
