OT: 6° Trade

Ran across something and thought I'd challenge you guys.

Name one player who played for LA and every trade in his career (excluding draft picks, even though he was only involved in one trade involving picks) were for players who at one time or another played for LA too.

This one got me by surprise but thought it was interesting. Let's see what you got.

Wow, not who it is but he fits the trivia too.

The answer I have is Kevin Stevens, there is a really good article in The Athletic on him and substance abuse, how he has been clean now for 2-3 years, doing speaking events to keep kids/people off drugs and how an innocent encounter with blow ruined his life and what a generous man he has always been known as and how much teammates loved him.This got me looking into his career and I saw the transactions and was surprised.

Kings drafted him in 1983, before he ever suited up he was traded in Sept 1983 to Pittsburgh for Anders Hakansson. Then in August 1995 Stevens was traded to Boston by Pittsburgh with Shawn McEachern for Glen Murray/Bryan Smolinski/1996 3rd (Pens took Boyd Kane, who had a pretty crappy NHL career to say the least).

In January 1996 Boston traded him here for Rick Tocchet, then in August 1997 LA traded him to the Rangers to get Robitaille back for stint number 2 in LA. Stevens then signed as a UFA with Philadelphia in July 2000 and to round it out in January 2001 was traded to Pittsburgh again for John Slaney.

So the players involved and when they played for LA chronologically but not in tandem:
